South Kazakhstan has occupied a special place in the history of Kazakhstan and the whole of Central Asia since ancient times. The land where the Great Silk Road passed blossomed in every way. The cities of Otyrar, Isfijab (Sayram), Syganak, Sauran, Sozak, Turkestan (Yassy) did not only become shopping centers, but the centers of science and culture. The pride of the region is Abu-Nasyr Al-Farabi, the second Aristotle of the East, born in the city of Otyrar, Korkyt ata and Kozha Ahmet Yassaui (Yassavi), which have an enduring historical significance. The traces of the past centuries have remained architectural monuments in the form of the mausoleum of Ahmet Yassaui, Arystan Baba, Iskak Baba, Abdel-Aziz, Meralibaba, Karashash Ana, Ibrahim ata, Madrassa Appak Ishana and others.

Мавзолей Кара-бура

Мавзолей состоит из двух комнат. Первая комната 100 м2, вторая - место старого мавзолея, построенного в ХІV веке. Могила Святой Карабуры расположена во второй комнате. Здесь находится могила Курбан Ата. Рядом мраморные плиты Мухаммада, Арыстан-баба, Ходжа Ахмет Яссауи, Ыскак-баба (Баба ата), Баба Тукти Шашты Азиза. За старым мавзолеем захоронены Акназар-хан, Белгибай-кажы, Шилмембет би, Култас би, Кожамкул гулама, Даулет-Карабура батыр, Шахасум-ахун и другие. К Востоку от мавзолея могила известного казахского композитора и кюйши Сугира Алиева.
