Karaganda region

Karaganda region is located in the central part of the Republic of Kazakhstan, rich in mineral resources. From the picturesque granite massifs of the Karkaraly mountains in the east to Lake Tengiz and the Ulytau Mountains in the west, from the Ishim River in the north to the Betpak-Dala Desert in the south stretches a vast plateau, which the Kazakh people have since ancient times poetically called Saryarka. This is the land on which interaction and mutual enrichment of cultures of tribes and peoples of the Eurasian continent, the East and the West took place from ancient times.

Площадь ханов в Улытау

Karaganda region

Площадь ханов интересна памятником восседающему на трону казахскому хану, причем, не кому-то конкретному, а некоему собирательному образу. Мемориальный комплекс «Хан орда» воздвигнуть на главной площади районного центра. Это памятник хану, который восседает на троне, на белой кошме. Белую кошму олицетворяет белый мрамор, орнаменты, танги казахских родов.
