East-Kazakhstan region

East Kazakhstan - is the territory that connects South Siberia and the Altai with Semirechye and Central Asia. Due to the geographical position, it played an important role in the historical development of the tribes and peoples of Western Asia at all times.

Archaeological excavations show that the region was inhabited since ancient times. This is evidenced by the traces of ancient mining developments, irrigation canals, and the ruins of numerous structures preserved in the Altai, in the Zaisan hollow, on the slopes of the Saur and Tarbagatai ranges.

Museum - Ethnic Village

East-Kazakhstan region

An ethno-village was built in Ust-Kamenogorsk, near the eco-park - one round platform and one street for everyone, there is a Kazakh yurta, a Ukrainian yurta, a Russian hut, Korean, German, Armenian and European farmsteads. The project of the first ethnic ethno village in Kazakhstan was realized in a special place: the basis was the architectural and ethnographic and nature-landscape museum-reserve in Ust-Kamenogorsk, created on the site of the former huge dump of reinforced concrete products, construction garbage, and household waste. In the village everything strictly corresponds to historical realities: buildings, farmsteads, materials, household items, and clothing. Most of them are real exhibits. Some of them are 100 years old or more. With their help visitors get acquainted with the history, culture, traditions of fellow countrymen living side by side with us.
